Welcome to Brain Health Europe (BHE)
The Brain Health Europe is a platform dedicated to promoting brain health in public health policies. We want to engage policy makers in conversations about the importance of brain health and strengthen the evidence to facilitate development of the brain health strategies at national and EU levels.
“Brain health can be defined as the state of brain functioning across cognitive, sensory, social-emotional, behavioural and motor domains, allowing a person to realize their full potential over the life course, irrespective of the presence or absence of disorders.” (WHO 2022: Optimising the brain health across the life course: WHO position paper)
The Brain Health Europe aims
To promote brain health in public health policies
To engage with policy makers to raise awareness about the importance of brain health.
To map national and EU wide public health policies which include brain health as part of their public health strategies.
To act as a brain health evidence-based information hub.
To contribute to scientific and public policy projects related to brain health.
To strengthen the evidence on brain health towards the development of national and EU brain health strategies.
